I take the train to work, too, and including driving to/from the train station, my commute is 3 hours total. It's insane, but that's the price I pay for living where I live, working where I work, and saving money on gas. I've started downloading books onto my Treo from the library (free to download) and reading them on the train, but now I will be terrified of falling asleep while reading because you just reminded me of the general funk that coats every surface on that train.
